Girls Camp!

I had the opportunity to go to Girls Camp this past week. I had a fun time. Getting to know the Young Women and the Leaders better was really cool, and seeing them in a setting outside of church was fun too. I will tell ya a little about what we did......

One of the things I was in charge of was the girls "tuck in treats." They got one of these every night before they went to bed. The picture with the Savior says: "Live your life, so that those who know you, but don't know HIM will want to know him because they know you." The glow stick says: "If you want to give light to others, you have to GLOW yourself". The candy: "We BEE-LIEVE you are sweeter than honey." Sweet Dreams!

The "bunks" where the girls slept! What do you think? Comfy???

Making our shields for one of the Stake activities!

Our shields, they all turned out pretty cool!

 Playing some games!
You had to all put your head down, and on the count of 3 look up and stare at somebody and if they were staring back you had to scream. Then you were out of the game. It was super fun, and quite funny.

The girls loved playing on the logs, we just crossed our fingers that they wouldn't fall of and break something. Sure had a lot of close calls.

 Making charm bracelets!

Was excited to get to make one of these charm bracelets with the girls, they turned out cute. Each charm represents something.

The Barbie is super creepy I know. Didn't want to scare you and get a close up of her face. Just trust me it's scary. Each ward got an award, and of course our award was Being Fashionably Late! Ya that's right, we were late to every event, oops! We were even late showing up to camp. Hey, at least we showed up!!

Doesn't the weather look wonderful?! I will answer that, NO!!! It rained on us everyday. I couldn't believe that is rained on us, we even got hail. It was crazy because the day we got up there was super warm and not a cloud in the sky. The next thing we know it's raining. It did cool things down though. It just put a damper on some of the activities.

Even though it was cold and windy, we all had a great time. I was happy I got to go.

O was SUPER excited for her new toy, can you tell? We went to the store and of course she wants everything she sees. We walk around and she grabs what she wants. We hit the isle that had these squirt gun things, I guess you could call it that. I'm not sure. Anyway, she saw this and dropped everything. She chose this over candy, I was in shock. She couldn't wait to get home so she could play in the water with it.

I showed her how to fill it up,

and she thought it would be fun to spray down the garage.

Hey, better that than me. That's what she really wanted to do.
She had a blast!

So, we decided we wanted to start growing our own foods. It's pretty hard where we live because we don't have much area to do it, as you can kind of see. We just have rocks in our backyard and a little bit of dirt. We decided to put them in buckets. Hey, it's working out quite well. It's pretty exciting!

 Our "sweet" tomato plant!

Our pepper plant!

We hope to do some more things, but for now this works. It's too dang hot to do anything else. Don't think they would survive.

4th Of July!!

Was a pretty fun day. We started off with the parade in St. George at 8 a.m., that's right 8. Having it be at 8 wasn't bad but having to get up and get ready was the hard thing. Understandable to do it early so we all don't die of heat. Was pretty warm that day. I just had to buy Olivia a cute 4th of July outfit, she loved it.

Olivia waiting for the parade to start!

They had camels in the parade, that's right I said camels. Tuacahn is doing the play Aladdin and they brought the camels to show. Olivia thought they were pretty cool.

Olivia running back from getting candy to show Daddy! Of course I had to help most of the time, she just wanted to eat it when she got it. Told her to put it in her bag and she could have it later.

They had some fun activities for the kids. Olivia wanted to ride the train with Daddy. I was totally okay with that. I told her I would take pictures of them on it.

She had so much fun riding the train!

This was pretty cool. Olivia could've watched this all day. They filled up these pools, got inflatable balls and you could get inside of them and try and move around in the water. Was funny watching people try and move around in them.

We ended off the night with fireworks. Olivia LOVES fireworks. We went early of course to find a place to sit and every 5 seconds she kept asking when the fireworks were going to start, she just couldn't wait. When they finally started she just started screaming. Glad she had such a fun day.
In shock?! Yes! O actually got in her pool and played for awhile. She even asked if she could fill up the pool. She filled it up got in her swimsuit and got in. I was pretty happy. Of course she had to play around with the hose and try and spray everything. I figured she would this time because it was so dang hot. Grabbed her toys and got in. She had fun.

 Filling up the pool

 YAHOO, she got in!

It's been awhile I know, so sorry. Things have been so busy and crazy around here. It's good though.
Olivia: she is just getting big and having so much fun playing with cousins and friends. Never a dull moment with this one. Always doing something funny and entertaining.
Jordan: working hard and playing hard, he decided to pick up on golf....... I know right?! No, it's all good, he enjoys it. As long as he's happy I'm happy.
Me: Oh boy, here we go! Released from Nursery, put into the Primary Presidency, assistant Camp Director, yep that's right, Girls Camp here we come!! Got another part time job besides doing hair.
Ya I'm a busy busy woman, love it though. Like to be busy. And then of course taking care of a little one, her daddy, and a house. Feel bad yet? Haha it's all good I don't expect ya to. Life is good and we are happy.

Happy Father's Day!!

To Jordan I know there is nothing like being a father. The day he held his little bundle of joy in his arms was one of the best days ever.

"Any man can be a Father but it takes someone special to be a dad."
Anne Geddes

I just want to thank Jordan for being such a great dad and doing so much for us. He works so hard and doesn't complain. Many of the qualities I love about him. Words really cant express how much he means to us. Hope he knows we love him with all our hearts and appreciates all that he does. We hope he has a great Father's Day. I am making him his favorite, his Moms Lasagna, and we made him a candy bar poster. (pic. below), we did Olivia's pictures, which we gave to him early, and a golf package.Happy Father's Day babe. We love you!

Olivia had fun helping me put this poster together. Of course she wanted to eat all the candy while we were doing it. Hope you can read it.

Olivia Got Talent!
Olivia has been into singing these days. The best part is her facial expressions, just wait. Gotta love it. Hopefully you can hear and get some of the words she is saying. Thought it was funny that she is using a bottle of fingernail polish as her microphone. What a funny girl!
Olivia is getting so big, growing up too fast!

Was making bows and O decided she wanted to help me out, okay make a mess!!!

Thought she was getting big, then she stood next to Daddy and she now looks super tiny! haha

LOVES playing outside!
I know, looks comfy right?!
The day we got this chair O has been attached. She says it's "her" spot. She kicks us out of it, really. Wants to sit on it by herself. This is where she ends up taking her naps as well. Ya, she probably isn't like most kids and take a nap in their beds. She ends up falling asleep here. Hey, she is taking a nap so I'm totally okay with it. I had to get pictures to show all the positions she falls asleep in. Pretty crazy.

Not sure if this is comfortable or not....
guess so or she wouldn't be sleeping

Just hope her arm didn't fall asleep....

Sunday, June 3, 2012

Well, ya sick of me putting pictures of O on here all the time? I kind of figure that really who you want to see and hear about is her. They just grow up so fast and you've got to capture it all right? Hey, every now and then I get some pictures or information on Jordan and I. When I get the camera out to take pictures I tend to forget to take a few of us all. Something I will work on.

Should we say summer is here?! The last few days have been extremely HOT! Over 100 degrees. Now I am okay with the warm weather, but when you can't even go outside without dripping sweat, then you know its too dang hot. But I'd rather be in the heat than the cold. We stay in the air conditioned house or play in the water or pool. Let's just see what July and August bring!  UGH........

Shopping with Olivia is very interesting as you can see. Every time we go to Wal-mart she has to go check out the fish. This day was a little different. She decided she wanted to take a couple friends with her. She walked down the baby/kid isle, picked up a Tinker bell backpack, put it on, then grabbed Mickey and Minnie.

She just had to show Mickey and Minnie the fish and tell them all about em. She is too funny!

Olivia has a little bit of trouble playing in the water, okay getting in her pool. As you can see it in the background. She is playing in the water rather than sitting in her pool. Don't know if she just doesn't like to get in it alone or what. I've gotten in plenty of times with her, what a fun Mom I know. Because I totally fit. lol  Oh well, she is still having fun and that's all that matters.

Told her to pour the water over her head
and it would cool her off.

Don't think she quite knew what to do after that.

She got so wet she couldn't even keep her pants up. haha
She was trying to walk back up the drive way and lost her britches.
We just laughed.

Been awhile since I've got Olivia's pictures done so I decided to go do it. I first planned on doing it so we could surprise Jordan for Father's Day, then I decided that's too far away for me. I was too excited to wait. So, we gave them to him early. Don't worry I've got way better plans for him.
I can't believe how fast time flies by. Our little Miss O is getting so big. Like I've said before she is just so much fun and a joy to be around.

Her pictures turned out pretty cute I have to say. She did so awesome, I was in total shock. You know how it is with kids and getting their pictures done.

O and her Daddy

Here is a post about the 2 cutest and fun people I know. Now with Jordan's new work schedule its allowing him more time with Olivia and I. It has been so nice. We love it. As you can tell O has a blast with her Daddy, yes still a Mommy's girl but has fun with Daddy. I want them to know just how much I love them and am so glad to have them in my life. There are the best.

 Havin' fun at Iggy's!

Takin' a nap together, I just had to get a picture!

So sorry its been so long. Our dang computer hasn't been working and I've been going crazy not being able to update my blog. Things have been busy. Work, play, and family being here. It's all been fun though. The weather has been super and we have been having so much fun. We are outside like everyday. Guess we got to do it now before it gets over 100. So, here are a few pictures of little Miss O and what shes been up to.

Just loves riding her bike, especially down to get the mail.

 Having fun in her pool!

Perfect size pool for her!
She has a blast, when she actually gets in. lol
